2015 MGFPA Scholarship Program Announced

The Maine Grocers & Food Producers Association are accepting applications fo the 2015 Scholarship Program.  “Three Maine students who have successfully completed requirements for graduation from an accredited high school and have been accepted by a college or university will receive $1,000 scholarships,” said Shelley Doak, Executive Director.  “We feel so fortunate to able to provide this assistance to aspiring Maine college bound students.”  For an application, please email us at info@www.mgfpa.org.

Because pricing is “a key weapon to increase market share and disrupt the market,” many retailers believe that price-matching is the best way to compete in a dog-eat-dog marketplace. But, the report suggests, it is not always the best way.
